Angelina Jolie Voight was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 4, 1975. Her parents are actor Jon Voight and actress Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away in 2007 after a long battle with cancer.​ She is also the sister of actor James Haven. She attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute for two years then enrolled at Beverly Hills High School and later attended New York University.

Jolie has been married three times. She married Jonny Lee Miller in 1995. The couple divorced in 1999. The following year, Jolie married actor Billy Bob Thornton, and divorced in 2003. Jolie met Pitt during the making of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004. At the time, Pitt was married and his affair with Jolie prompted their divorce. Jolie-Pitt finally officially married at a closed ceremony on April 23, 2014. In September 2016, Jolie was divorced from Pitt. 

Jolie and Pitt have six children, three of whom are adopted: Maddox Chivan (adopted from Cambodia in 2002), Zahara (adopted from Africa in 2005), and Pax Thien (adopted from Vietnam in 2007). She was inspired to adopt when she was in Cambodia. She was in the country to film 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider'. She also has three biological children are Shiloh was born on May 27, 2006 and twins Knox and Vivienne was born on July 12, 2008.

And her latest movie, Maleficent 2, it is a sequel to the 2014 film Maleficent. The film was released on October 18, 2019, by Walt Disney Pictures. Maleficent 2 become runner up at the Box Office with revenues of US$ 19 milion.
